Mintlaw
Looking towards Maud Junction, through the site of Mintlaw station, on 15th April 2025. The Peterhead branch passed very close to the centre of Mintlaw, but the station for some reason was sited nearly a mile to the west of that centre. [Probably in order to also serve Old Deer, Aden House and Pitfour House - the station was formerly known as Old Deer and Mintlaw.] The platforms are still in place but very overgrown. See image 79401 from 1st May 1965, the last day of passenger services here.
