Little Sutton
The attractive Little Sutton station seen from 777001 calling with a Merseyrail Wirral Line service from Ellesmere Port to Liverpool Central, at 10.45 on Wednesday, 29th April 2025. This station opened as Sutton with the Hooton to Helsby line on 1st July 1863 and renamed Little Sutton on an unspecified date in 1886. It became a Merseyrail station when electrification was extended from Hooton to Ellesmere Port on 29th May 1994 and won the Best Kept Cheshire Station Award in 2014.
