Tower Hill [2nd]

LU S7 stock, clockwise Circle Line to Edgware Road at Tower Hill, at 14.01 on Saturday, 10th May 2025, which will head towards the camera when it departs. This station opened in 1967 on the site of the short-lived Tower of London station (1882-1884) which was replaced by Mark Lane to the west and renamed Tower Hill in 1946. By the 1960s, this had become dilapidated and was replaced by the present station, back where the original Tower of London station had once stood. The 1884 station is the only station on the London Underground, now abandoned, which I used many times as a boy.
