Appleby North Junction
Appleby North signal box is about to be engulfed as SR Battle of Britain 34067 "Tangmere" races over the junction to the now-closed Eden Valley Line at the sharp end of the return leg of 'The Settle & Carlisle Spring Express' running as 1Z51 1410 Carlisle to Newport, operated by WCR on behalf of Pathfinder Railtours on 1st March 2025. 34067 was carrying their 'Pathfinder Railtours 50 Years' headboard, made in 2023. The signal box dates from June 1951, replacing one on the opposite side destroyed by fire. 57314 "Conwy Castle" was on the rear, providing ETS.
