Barnoldswick

For a branch line less than two miles long, and dead straight, there was some substantial engineering on the Barnoldswick Railway, not least this bridge over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. On the south side of the towpath a tall embankment and this huge abutment survive but to the north, where there is now a marina, all has gone. This view towards Foulridge on 9th October 2023.
