Maryhill

Looking west at Maryhill circa 1973.
On this day Queen Street Low Level was out of use and trains were running from High Level using DMUs. The former station looks quite sad but the signal box is operating although partially boarded up. The station itself closed on 2nd October 1951, was reopened on 19th December 1960 but finally closed again on 2nd October 1961. Today a new station which opened in 1993 occupies more or less the same site and is served by a Glasgow - Anniesland service.
