Quainton Road

Until recently, London's waste trains passed through Quainton for Calvert, but with construction of HS2 and the East-West Railway they stopped. The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre benefited as the line has now ceased to operate. They now have an agreement with Network Rail allowing BRC traffic to use the line and are installing points to allow crossing from one yard to the other. Previously they were two separated operational sites. This bridge is not in a safe condition, the portals bricked up and decorated. A replacement will be built but sadly no portal to allow BRC traffic to go north.
