Brook Street Junction
Slumbering in a deep cutting that runs through the middle of Birkenhead are the rails of the Goods Line from Rock Ferry to Birkenhead Docks. Once busy with a variety of traffic the last train ran in 1993 and it is officially disused although not lifted. This is the view down from Price Street bridge, quite close to Conway Park station on the unconnected Wirral lines of Merseyrail, in July 2024.
