This view looks towards the Killin Railway's Loch Tay terminus, the site of the pier (of which little remains) and locomotive shed at the south west end of Loch Tay. Passenger and goods steamers ran from the pier (Killin Pier was the name of the pier by Loch Tay station) north east up Loch Tay calling at Lawers, Ardeonaig, Ardtalnaig, Fearnan and Kenmore piers.
