Queen of the South Viaduct
A trackbed view across the Queen of the South Viaduct in March 2024. The line to Stranraer closed in 1965 but a stub to Maxwelltown remained open for oil traffic until the late 1980s. After the track was eventually lifted in 2004 this section of the old line was repurposed as a nicely surfaced cycle route
