Blackpool South, on the far left of the picture, on 3rd September 2012. The large car park covers a former four platform junction station, now reduced to a single track. The road built on the old Marton direct route to Kirkham can be seen curving away to the east while the surviving line through St Annes goes right and passes the Pleasure Beach
