Collyhurst Tunnel
Rear view through the darkened glass off a Metrolink tram climbing away from Collyhurst Tunnel, which lies under the Network Rail lines to Miles Platting, before the descent into Manchester Victoria. Just visible on Platting Bank is a Class 769 Hybrid Unit, working on the Southport to Stalybridge diagram. This view taken on 27th March 2024, the Manchester Victoria to Stalybridge electrification scheme having been energised a few days earlier.
