Edinburgh Waverley
4498 (60007) 'Sir Nigel Gresley' waits to leave Waverley with the 'Tyne Dee Coastal' on 22 June 1974. As I was submitting this picture the same loco was approaching Edinburgh again, with an excursion from Kings Cross that it had hauled from York on Thursday 23 November 2023. Unfortunately, its planned use on a 'Forth Circular' tour two days later was halted by a failure and it was replaced by D213 'Andania'.
