Barnoldswick Junction

In the village of Kelbrook, near Earby, this bridge that carried the Colne to Skipton line until 1970 lives on. The unofficial path up the embankment continues on the trackbed and a very short distance to the left of the bridge is the site of Barnoldswick Junction, where the base of the signal box can still be seen 87720. Campaigning to reopen this twelve mile stretch of line, which should never have closed, continues.
