Woodacre Crossing
DB Cargo to re-gear ten Class 66/0 locos. To allow the withdrawal of their remaining Class 60s, DBC has announced it is fitting lower gear ratios to ten of its fleet of Class 66s. This will give them a higher tractive effort, equivalent to the Freightliner Class 66/6, allowing them to take over heavier duties from the Brush built locos. 66610 passes Woodacre with the daily stone empties from Hardendale on 23rd November 2023.
