Arnos Grove

The circular ticket hall at Arnos Grove, LU Piccadilly Line, is one of Dr. Charles Holden's most iconic designs which doesn't look anywhere near its 91 years of age. It opened as the temporary terminus of the Cockfosters extension from Finsbury Park on 19th September 1932, before extension to Enfield West (now Oakwood) on 13th March 1933 and through to Cockfosters on 31st July 1933, a month after the formation of the LPTB. This peek inside with preserved but disused passimeter ticket office is at 13.35 on Saturday, 2nd December 2023.
