Thatto Heath

Midday at Thatto Heath but the platform is still in shade on a very cold day. 319367 calls with a Wigan to Lime Street service. What looks like an old bridge abutment on the Wigan platform is, I believe, the base for the old station building but I am happy to be corrected. The ticket office is now a small building at the bottom of the ramp to the Liverpool platform. The 319s have been reliable regulars on this line since they were cascaded here for the 2015 electrification (See image 52079) but they are now coming to the end of their days.
