Blaenau Ffestiniog [North]

Looking north towards the tunnel mouth at Blaenau Ffestiniog in September 1978, with the remains of the former goods shed on the right. The station building dates back to the mid 1950s, being a replacement for the original LNWR structure which had burnt down a few years previously. The track continuing beyond the station was a BR built connection to the old GWR branch from Bala, to enable trains to serve Trawsfynydd Power Station and involved shortening this station platform.
