Crewe South Shed
British Railways Johnson 1899 design Vulcan Works built former Midland Railway class 2441 3F 0-6-0T loco' 47224, based latterly at 26B Agecroft shed, is seen on 5B Crewe South Shed on 30 April 1962, devoid of connecting rods after its recent withdrawal from service. As can be seen this loco was one of many of the sixty locos in this class that were fitted with Condensing Apparatus for use in the London area.
