Merseyrail class 508 EMU 508131 rests at West Kirby on 14 November 2023 after arrival at 14.42, and will form the 14.51 service back to Liverpool Central. I travelled on the unit from Lime Street and back to Birkenhead North. This unit is one of two due to be withdrawn from service in w/c 18 December, according to the article on poor class 777 reliability performance posted in the Railscot news feed the following day.
