Sheerness-on-Sea

LMS Jubilee no. 45596 'Bahamas' (1934) with the Railway Touring Company's 'The Armistice Kentish Belle' excursion, during a 45 minutes lunchtime break at Sheerness-on-Sea station, on Saturday, 11th November 2023. After a reversal at Strood, the train was hauled to Sheerness by 47746 but on departure from here, 45596, that had hauled the train from London Victoria via Bromley South, Orpington, Tonbridge and the Medway Valley Line, resumed its role as the lead locomotive for this railtour, onward via Sittingbourne, Faversham and Canterbury East to Dover Priory.
