Castlehill Junction

The 10.18 Glasgow Central to Ardrossan Harbour passes the remains of Ardrossan Castle with the boat train connection for the Isle of Man sailing which that day was operated by 'TS Manxman'. Castlehill Junction was on the left with a curve which ran to Parkhouse Junction on the line to Largs but this closed on 30/09/1969. The site of Ardrossan Shed was in the triangle completed by the line from South Beach which runs parallel to the houses in the background.
