Kyle of Lochalsh Slip

A well loaded MV 'Broadford' at Kyle of Lochalsh, in a photograph thought to date from August 1969. The vessel was still relatively new, having been introduced at the start of 1967. Traffic was however rising rapidly and by 1971 two larger ferries were brought in. The 'Broadford' moved south to the Kyles of Bute, to serve for a further fifteen years between Colintraive and Rhubodach.
