Crewe North Shed
Rebuilt double chimney LMS Patriot class 7P 4-6-0 45526 'Morecambe & Heysham' is seen in steam on Crewe North shed on 18 April 1964. The 1946 rebuild by H.G. Ivatt of the design was to uprate from the Fowler 6P5F mixed traffic power classification as built. The Patriot class was derived from the London North Western Railway Claughton class loco, and from new the later 1933 built locos were themselves deemed to be a rebuild.
