Doncaster

A view, believed to be in late 1959, of the Prototype Deltic stabled in the up side south end bay platform at Doncaster in very wet weather, during its trials on the East Coast mainline. The chimneys of Doncaster Power Station can be seen over to the left. I would only be 12 when this view was taken, so in my infancy of photography. This view is also the 2000th submitted view published by Railscot.
