The effects of 3 franchise holders in under 2 years can be seen in this photograph of 91117 at York on 21 March 2010. The minimalist East Coast lettering has been applied to the National Express temporary white stripe which had in turn been superimposed over former GNER markings. Visible above the train at the far end of the footbridge is part of the former station signal box, subsequently adapted to serve as an attractive coffee lounge - see image 23557.
