Swanwick Junction

Exterior of the Midland Railway's former Syston station, opened in 1874, replacing an earlier station of 1840, and closed in 1968. It was dismantled and re-assembled at the Midland Railway Centre to form its Swanwick Junction station, seen here on 4th May 2019 during a visit by UK Railtours. (A new station at Syston was opened on 27th May 1994.)
