Aviemore Yard
Ivatt 2MT 46464 has ventured out on BR metals in preservation. The Strathspey Railway was allowed, with the permission of the signalman, to collect materials and rolling stock delivered to the former goods yard alongside the passenger station. In 1979 I drove her down with a flat wagon on such an errand. Unfortunately our Smith Rodley diesel crane was proving to be out-of-gauge but we got the job done somehow!
