Wolsztyn

Ty3-2 waits on the ready track just beyond Wolsztyn engine sheds turntable on a grey day in June 2000. This 2-10-0 is a Kriegslok built by Schichau in 1944. The day after the photo was taken the photographer had the pleasure of driving the 2-10-0 for a full shift, delivering a wagonload of domestic coal to Rakoniewice followed by a cement train from Powodowo Cement Works near Wolsztyn to the yard at Zbaszynek on the Berlin-Warsaw mainline along with associated light engine movements - a fantastic day!
