Aberdeen
55009 'Alycidon' hums away at Aberdeen on 23rd June 1980. I had travelled up from Edinburgh on the 0855 departure and 55009 worked the 1240 service back to Edinburgh. Nothing quite like a Deltic to Aberdeen. This had taken some planning when you lived in Essex; up on the overnight sleepers from KX, and just hope that a Deltic would go north from Edinburgh.
