Vallorbe
A photograph taken at the Swiss frontier station of Vallorbe in 1971, with two SNCF BB8500 electrics taking over a Florence-Paris international express for the next stage of the journey, as far as Pontarlier. The locomotives had made a very important addition to the train in the shape of the SNCF GrilExpress car seen in the foreground. I can confirm that dinner later in the evening was much to be enjoyed during the non-stop run from Dijon to Paris.
