Carlisle
A Class 50 is seen on 1s38 heading north at Carlisle. Can anyone tell me what the 50 is please and what 1S38 was. Thanks. Film process date is 08 1974. [AM writes: 1S38 was a Colchester to Glasgow overnight train but it carried that headcode only in the down direction. On its up trip the headcode displayed was 1E50. The train was discontinued in May 1971.]
