Newcastle Emlyn

A gloomy day finds a railtour run by the Wirral Railway Circle at journey's end at Newcastle Emlyn. This was the 'Heart of Wales Land Cruise', a mainly loco hauled train but which used a 6-car DMU from Carmarthen on 9th December 1972. There was another tour on the 30th of that month to mark the closure of the Newcastle Emlyn and Lampeter 'milk branches'.
