Val Pusteria
A 1973 shot taken on board a morning service on the delightful Val Pusteria route that runs through the South Tyrol between Fortezza and San Candido. The locomotive was Franco-Crosti FS 2-8-0 741 388, chimney at the right-hand side of the boiler, working typically hard on one of the many gradients that face eastbound trains as they climb through the valley.
