Liverpool Pier Head
Mersey Ferry 'Royal Iris' nears the Pier Head on 1st June 2023. At the cruise terminal is the 'Jewel of the Seas', which left that afternoon, next stop Kirkwall in Orkney. The Mersey Ferries now only serve general travellers and commuters at peak periods. During the day they provide one hour cruises that also call at Woodside in Birkenhead. Fun and informative but considerably more expensive than the straightforward crossing
