Queen Elizabeth II Bridge
A Metro train, heading for the south side of the River Tyne, emerges from the tunnel and onto the Queen Elizabeth II bridge on 27th May 2023. The bridge was opened by Her Majesty in 1981 and behind it an LNER Azuma crosses the King Edward VII bridge on its way to Kings Cross. This view looks upstream from the High Level Bridge.
