Felixstowe

The former Felixstowe Town station, now part of a shopping mall, on 3rd May 2023. After it opened on 1st July 1898, the direct line to the docks was disconnected with all trains to Felixstowe Beach and Felixstowe Pier having to reverse here. Passenger services to Felixstowe Pier ceased on 2nd July 1951 and after 1959 Felixstowe Beach was only served in the summer until this closed on 11th September 1967. The line is still used to the dock lines around the Port of Felixstowe with the direct line towards Ipswich restored on 13th May 1970.
