Preserved Hastings DEMU 1001 was on the 'Avon Ambassador' railtour on 25 March 2023. I made a quick visit to the Stratton footbridge on the eastern side of Swindon station to catch the old unit as it made its way from Hastings to Bristol Temple Meads, passing Swindon on time..
