Peak Class 45 (D)125 departs Taunton with 1V71, the Leeds to Penzance service, on 8th May 1974. This picture was taken from the footbridge known as Forty Steps to the west of Taunton station. Note some rolling stock in the sidings destined for the West Somerset Railway, Minehead line.
