Dalzell Works Signal Box

An overview looking south of the West Coast Main Line by the Dalzell works (bottom right with its siding) showing the new underline bridge. Windmillhill was the name of the first signal box here. The name Ravenscraig has been used for this bridge but no part of that former works was in this view, however the new access road will approach its site. The Glasgow Rolling Stock & Plant Works and Lanarkshire Steel Works were in the vacant land to the left, with Ravenscraig further to the left out of shot. The Dellburn works was on the far side of the railway. There had been a bridge for a flyunder to the Dalzell New Yard here, what a pity it was removed. Flemington station was top left by the roundabouts.
