St Pancras International

700113 with Thameslink train to Three Bridges, which I boarded at Luton Airport Parkway after going on the very first train on the brand new Luton Airport DART line, calling at St. Pancras International Low Level on 10th March 2023. This station was opened in the City Widened Lines tunnel on 9th December 2007, superseding Kings Cross Thameslink which closed and was part of the original Metropolitan Railway station opened on 10th January 1863. For many years, prior to the reopening of Snow Hill tunnel from Farringdon to Blackfriars in 1988 (after closing to passengers in 1916 and freight in 1971) and the inauguration of Thameslink, the City Widened Lines had only peak hour trains in the morning to Moorgate and back from there in the evening.
