Seaford

313211, ex-London Great Northern suburban unit from 1976, just arrived at the Seaford terminus of the branch from Lewes, with the ex-15.41 Southern service from Brighton and waiting to depart with the 16.27 return on Saturday, 15th April 2023. These old trains, with seats not properly aligning with the windows, are now all due for withdrawal in May 2023. This was only my second visit in 51 years to the Seaford branch, the last time being on the 'Brighton Belle Farewell Tour' in 1972 which visited a lot of electrified southern lines, including Seaford, Littlehampton and Bognor Regis with a final fast run from Brighton back to Victoria.
