Crinan Sea Lock

Chris O'Connell of Scottish Canals, with John Cameron CBE, unveiling a Red Wheel National Transport Trust plaque at Crinan on 15 April 2023. The plaque reads 'Opened in 1801 to shorten the distance between the Clyde and the Hebrides. Designed by John Rennie with later improvements by Thomas Telford'. John Cameron said that long may the spirit of Para Handy continue, with a puffer being restored nearby.
