New Hall Bridge Halt

Just to the north of Burnley Central, by a small bridge that leads to the site of Burnley Gas Works, was the railmotor halt of New Hall Bridge. At this point the railway and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal are in close proximity and this view looks along the towpath towards Brierfield with the railway behind the palisade fencing. The halt was only open from 1906 to 1948 and no trace remains.
