Law Junction

With the ground stained with coal waste, this was the trackbed of the Law Colliery Branch which served the numerous Law, Shawfield and Brownlee collieries. Law Junction was created at its opening in 1867, 13 years before the Wishaw Deviation and Law Junction station opened. The mines were worked out in the 1950s and the branch closed. The view looks south west. away from the junction and exchange sidings.
