Newtyle Junction

This was the site of Newtyle Junction in 1996 where, amazingly, ballast was still in place. The line running north from the original Newtyle station is to the left in this view and the deviation via the second Newtyle station curves off to the right. There was a signal box on the right. The view looks south. This has since become a popular footpath.
