North End

This bunker round the back of North End Road between Hampstead and Golders Green was to have been where North End station would be, later to have been called Bull and Bush after the well-known pub (though the present pub is not the one immortalised in the old song). Only the platforms and linking subways were built before it was decided not to proceed and it never opened, becoming instead 'The Station That Never Was' of the London Underground's Northern Line. However, in 1956 during the Cold War, it was decided to expand the station and create a bunker, now locked-up and empty as seen here on 26th January 2023.
