Radcliffe West Junction

Looking towards Bury at Radcliffe on one of the 'in water' sections of the disused Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal in January 2023. The remains of Bridge 17D are prominent. This carried the railway from Bradley Fold Junction to Radcliffe Central but the last train ran in 1964. The metal bridge carries a footpath but just beyond that 17F carried another railway, from Radcliffe West Junction to Radcliffe North Junction. That too closed in 1964 and has also been removed.
