Lune Aqueduct
The view upstream towards the Lune Aqueduct on 1st January 2023. Rennie's masterpiece opened to canal traffic in 1797 and an even bigger structure was planned to take the Lancaster Canal across the River Ribble in Preston but, sadly, this could not be financed and was never built.
