Ashton Swing Bridge (Preston)
D2595, crossing the swing bridge at Preston Dock, immediately reminded me of photos I have seen of other Hunslet shunters working around Ipswich Docks sixty years earlier. The Class 05 was on RSR Santa Specials, top and tail with 0-6-0ST 'Courageous'. After working in Scotland and the North East between 1959 and 1969 it was sold into industry but was bought for preservation in 1983.
